Have been working on these (plus four more) for a while—
If all goes accordingly, they will be going up in a brow salon in Chicago within the next month.
Each is 22” x 30” on watercolor paper.
Another commission from Anime Boston for the same girl. She was so sweet! :)
After stopping by on Friday, she returned the following day to commission a drawing to give to her boyfriend as a birthday present~~
Yes, I drew a happy couple. Milestone!
Ordered some paper samples a while ago—
My experience with Inkpress papers has been pleasant overall, but there are just a couple of small things I am not completely satisfied with. I have been using various brands of paper to get the results I want when the Inkpress falls short in any way, but I will be doing some printing tests and most likely moving on to a different brand of choice in the very near future.
(Anime Central 2012)
The last of the April conventions— now, a small break before an even more chaotic late May + June. In July, I will be re-organizing and preparing to leave for Japan. I think these next two months will go by in a flash, so I just hope to make the most of them.
The cold I caught right after the con is still lingering on, which is obnoxious, considering this is the third time I have gotten sick this year, but… hopefully I’ll get better soon!
The big posters I got printed right before C2E2 seemed to find an audience at ACen, so I will probably print limited runs for the conventions I attend~~
On that topic, five more shows before I say goodbye to the convention-going lifestyle for a while:
Fanime — (2012.05.25-28) — San Jose, CA
Philly Comic Con — (2012.06.01-03) — Philadelphia, PA
AM^2 — (2012.06.15-17) — Anaheim, CA
HeroesCon — (2012.06.22-24) — Charlotte, NC
Anime Expo — (2012.06.29-07.02) — Los Angeles, CA
Makeshift business cards for C2E2 and Anime Central—
Will be ordering real ones for Fanime and beyond. :)
And another sketch from C2E2, reference used—
I like working with pen & ink the best after all, even if it is a bit more challenging at an artist alley table. Think I might always bring my inks with me from now on. :)
Aaaaaand another one— I believe the spark words given to me were “sci-fi” and “naked.” The “naked” was to be of female persuasion, of course. XD
